The world is changing at Newcastle from an exciting prospect to a predicament.
That is where the Magpies find themselves, as the club’s takeover talks rumble on for yet another week since reports suggested that they would be purchased by the Saudi-based Public Investment Fund (PIF) for £300m.
This meant that the St James’ Park faithful were set to have their wishes granted, with retail tycoon Mike Ashley and his reign of terror brought to an end.
However, since the publication of a report from the World Trade Organisation (WTO), the Premier League have remained silent on the issue.
Speaking from his official Twitter account, here is what the Chronicle Live reporter Mark Douglas had to say about the current ownership mess on Tyneside.
It has been blindingly obvious what needs to happen at #nufc for a long, long time.
Nothing that’s happened in the last 90 minutes changes that – even if it emphasises it.
Over to you, @premierleague.

Richard Masters has previously refused to comment on the matter despite the fans desperately wanting to know what is going on with the ownership of their club.
Douglas is right. The Premier League need to be more transparent when it comes to keeping the supporters up to date with the goings-on at board level.
Will you still support NUFC if the takeover falls through?
Absolutely!
No, I'll be done!
Of course, the Tyneside club itself should be in a position where they can update those and are just as guilty for the deafening silence.
