“Your winning spirit was instrumental”- A lot of Newcastle United fans are falling in love with Allan Saint-Maximin after he produced a quality display in his team’s 1-0 win over Manchester United.
This was only the Frenchman’s second start of the season, but he has already become somewhat of a fan-favourite on Tyneside because of his social media presence and work he has done in the community.
A niggling thigh injury has limited the explosive winger to a reduced number of appearances, but he was a constant thorn in the side of Manchester United on Sunday.
He was direct and confident on the ball. It is clear to see that his decision making could do with some work, but he was instrumental to the goal.
Picking up a pass from Miguel Almiron Saint-Maximin drove past four red shirts before slipping the ball intelligently to Jetro Willems – who in turn, set up Matty Longstaff.
The 22-year-old certainly looks like he could be a great signing for Newcastle, and a lot of Toon fans love him already.
