Benitez Confirms Duo Will Not Be Allowed To Go Out On Loan

|

Although the summer transfer window, for Premier League clubs, slammed shut ahead of the start of the new season, the loan window allowing players to move to the Championship remains open.

Recently, speculation has been circulating suggesting that two of the Newcastle first-team squad, Isaac Hayden and Ciaran Clark, are wanted by the Championship duo of Aston Villa and Stoke City.

Both have featured in the Newcastle first-team this season with 23-year-old Hayden being shown a straight red-card, away to Cardiff, yesterday, thereby earning a three-game suspension.

However, it seems that, according to the local media source, the Chronicle, that neither of the aforementioned duo will be allowed to leave St James Pak, with Rafael Benitez quoted by our source as having remarked about the subject matter:

“I read something about Hayden and Clark – no chance.”

Exactly the words we wanted to hear, our squad is by no way strong enough as it is and to let two of its members leave on what would be season-long loan spells would be madness.

But, then again, are we not used to living in such an environment?
