Bargain Deal – 69% Of Newcastle Fans Polled Backing Surprise Move For France Under 20 International

|

The club have offered £6m plus £3m in add-ons for Paris Saint-Germain defender Stanley N’Soki, according to the Sun.

The 19-year-old is reportedly refusing to sign a new contract with the French club and PSG are believed to want £9m up front for the left-back.

Whether our structured deal will be acceptable to the Ligue One side, it is not known. Last week, I asked fans whether the club should sign the France Under 20 international, and the majority think he could be a bargain:

N’Soki is unproven, but he clearly has potential, and Rafa Benitez and the club are clearly hoping he can develop into a real star.

However, with Bristol City having accepted £5m bids from Middlesbrough and Aston Villa for Joe Bryan, it does seem we are overspending for an unproven player when there are cheaper, more experienced recruits available on the transfer market. Whether the gamble pays off, we shall see.
