Footballers being confined to their homes means they have had to come up with creative ways to both keep entertained and fit at the same time.

Allan Saint-Maximin managed to combine the two by practising his skills in his back garden, using his dog as his opponent.

Not many players have been able to stop the tricky Frenchman in the Premier League this year, as he has averaged 4.4 dribbles per league game this season, and his pet was no match for him either.

It shows the winger is still capable of having fun despite being locked in doors, and given the success he had he could probably pull off such a trick for hours on end.

Posting the video on social media also gives fans an opportunity to interact with the 23-year-old, who has maintained an entertaining online presence since arriving at St. James’ Park, exampled by the time he mocked a Sunderland supporter.

Hopefully we get to see more of that type of content from Saint-Maximin in the lockdown period, and perhaps his teammates could also get involved to prove who the best is.

Either way, as long as he comes back fit and healthy then there is plenty to be positive about, as he has impressed fans so far.
