“When we were a competitive Premier League team” – A lot of Newcastle United fans have used a tweet about Newcastle’s past games with Manchester United to express their anger at what state the club is in now.
There was a time where Newcastle vs Manchester United was a big game battling for European spots, but that is a distant memory now, and the Toon need to win on Sunday to kickstart their season and pull away from the relegation zone.
The Red Devils meanwhile are seeking their first away win of the season, and many Newcastle fans think that they will get it on Sunday.
See the best of the reaction below.

Why look back at the good times only to realise those days are long gone and will never return until MA has gone from the club and a manager is in charge who has the respect of the fans and players (SB has lost dressing room)

These Newcastle fans are sad with the state of the club and wish they did not have to rely on memories of competing.
Man utd haven’t won away since March that will change after Sunday if we play like we did on Sunday
