“He’s clueless” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are refusing to give Steve Bruce any praise for the Toon’s 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Newcastle moved out of the relegation zone with a resolute and professional performance over an insipid Manchester United side – which lacked any creativity.

Bruce has deservedly received heavy criticism for recent displays by his side, but on Sunday, he made a bold move that paid off.

Starting Matty Longstaff for his Premier League debut proved to be an inspired move as the young Geordie midfielder scored the winner.

Bruce also played Saint-Maximin, who was a threat all afternoon.

Bruce was not many people’s first choice to be the manager of Newcastle, but we have to judge him on results, and though the last two weeks were terrible, this was a massive win, and Bruce deserves credit for the win.

Many Newcastle are refusing to credit Bruce.

Other Toon supporters were happy to praise Bruce for the win.

  • Right so a couple of plebs with 5 followers say he’s clueless. Give the man a chance, we’ve beaten Spurs away and Manure at home. Sure it’ll count for nothing at the end of the season if we go down but you can’t be clueless and pull off those results.
