‘All correct’, ‘Complete shambles’ – Loads of fans react to Ex-Newcastle star’s assessment

Micky Quinn is not someone who shrieks back into the shadows when given a platform to back Rafa Benitez or let Mike Ashley know what he thinks, and many Newcastle fans have been taking note of his latest assessment of the current situation at St James’ Park.

Taking to Twitter, the former Toon, Portsmouth and Coventry striker noted how Ashley has allowed Benitez to leave his duties on Tyneside with the lapsing of his contract, leaving the club without a manager as the first-team return to Darsley Park for pre-season training.

At the moment, Ashley and Managing Director Lee Charnley’s only plans to hire a new manager are only in an exploratory stage, as they search for viable candidates who would be willing to take up the St James’ Park hot seat and work in the conditions our owner will lay out.

A potential takeover by the Bin Zayed Group has also thrown a spanner into any plans the club may have been putting in place for potential managers or players coming to the club this summer, while offloading Ayoze Perez to Leicester after the Foxes triggered a £30million release clause in the Spaniard’s contract.

Now, the clock is ticking down until the New Premier League season, and a lot of changes are needed at St James’ Park, so ‘form an orderly queue to renew your Season Tickets’, as Quinn puts it.
