Newcastle United have struggled so far this season and are still waiting for their first victory, with a goalless draw against Southampton on Saturday extending their winless streak to 10 matches.
The issues in front of goal have been well documented as Rafael Benitez’s side have only managed to find the back of the net six times this season, with only Huddersfield Town having a worse record in front of goal.
Further recruits are needed in January and fans have got excited about a suggestion that the Magpies could make a move for Atlanta United’s Paraguay international Miguel Almiron, who has taken the MLS by storm after scoring 12 goals this season.
Almiron is tipped to make a move to a big European league in January and Newcastle would certainly benefit from his addition, with fans on social media expressing their desire to see the South American ace signed.
We have gathered some of the best reactions below.
Miguel Almiron while no experience in the prem and absolutely flying in MLS would be an absolutely tremendous signing! A genuine no10 with unbelievable quality and technique with the Pace and ability to score goals and find the spaces for assists! Real player ππ½

Very good player, little lightweight tho it would be a risk like cabella. Worth the risk tho as we are desperate for creativity and he has plenty and a proper 10
