“Absolutely Outstanding” “Hungry To Impress” – These Newcastle Fans Think This Man Helped Change The Game

|

Newcastle United’s long wait for victory in the Premier League in the season of 2018/19 came to an end last Saturday as we faced Watford at St James’ Park.

After a goalless first 45, Ayoze Perez broke his own duck and scored his first goal of the season in the 65th minute and despite the narrow scoreline, it was enough for us to take all three points and give the fans and manager Rafa Benitez the win.

Watford did have the better of the game when it came to the stats, but despite having more efforts at goal they only managed one on target, whereas we got two, so it is about taking the positives.

Centre-half Fabian Schar was certainly one of those positives.

The 26-year-old replaced the injured Jamaal Lascelles at the half-time break and his introduction, along with Ki Sung-Yeung left many fans feeling it changed the game in our favour.

Newcastle fans haven’t had a lot to shout about so far in 2018/19 so they should certainly make the most of this chance, and then we hope it is the turning of the corner when it comes to our form and results.
