These Newcastle United fans have been reacting to reports that Kevin Keegan could make a sensational return to the club.
According to the Mirror, the former player and manager will be invited to take up an ambassadorial role at St James’ Park, providing the takeover goes ahead.
This follows a report from The Times last week which stated that retail tycoon Mike Ashley has accepted a £300m purchase of the Tyneside club from a consortium built up from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), and backed by Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers.
Would you welcome Mike Ashley back to the club?
Yes
No
If this goes ahead, Keegan would travel north once more and would represent the Magpies off the pitch, after doing such a sensational job on it and in the dugout.
As a result, supporters begged for the club to make the right decision and bring him back to his rightful place. One fan said that it would be an “absolutely fantastic move”, while another stated it was a “no brainer”.
Absolute NO brainer, who better to have as a club ambassador.
