“My favourite player” – A lot of Newcastle United fans are wishing Matt Ritchie a happy 30th birthday and also are praising him for his impact on the team.
Ritchie is currently out injured after a horror challenge from Hamza Choudhury, but that has not stopped plenty of Newcastle supporters from congratulating him on a fantastic three-year spell on Tyneside.
The former Bournemouth man is one of the most popular players in the Toon side and has clearly made the North East his home.
Ritchie’s attitude desire and work rate are superb, and it is these qualities that have made him such a hero in Newcastle.
He joined the Magpies as a winger but has redeveloped himself as a left-wing-back in a move that has saved his Newcastle career.
