Word On The Tweet

‘Why are you quoting this clown’ – Many NUFC fans hit back at pundit after damming comments

|

Lots of Newcastle United fans have had their say on Twitter about the coverage that Richard Keys has been getting for his damming words about the club.

The pundit has recently hit back at fans after they allegedly gave him ‘vile abuse’ for paying compliments to Steve Bruce for the job he has been doing at St. James’ Park.

With the Magpies coming off the back of two important wins, the club now find themselves just find two points away from the Europa League spots, with Manchester United now occupying fifth.

Consequently, former Sky Sports presenter and now beIN Sports presenter Keys went onto congratulate Steve Bruce again once more on his blog, stating that he has proven that not only Rafa Benitez can manage this club, as proven by them being 10 points better off than at this stage last season.

Has Bruce done enough to win you over?

Yes, he's doing a great job

No, he needs to do more

With the Chronicle reporting on the story, many fans were seemingly angry about a number of things. Most notably, both the fact that the outlet are reporting on the story on the whole and of course what Keys actually says within his piece.

Here are some of the responses below…

Newcastle have now gone three games without a loss and things are looking pretty stable at St. James’ Park. Already on 22 points, Bruce will be hoping that he can keep chipping away and picking up points.

With the club’s next two matches being Burnley and Crystal Palace, they have a good chance of continuing that run.
