With Newcastle United fans having plenty to be happy about after we took a 1-0 victory over Watford at St James’ Park last Saturday, there were still some valid criticisms flying around on social media.
Ayoze Perez’s first goal of the season gave us our first win of the season and moved us out of the relegation zone to give the top-flight table a slightly more enjoyable perception, but midfielder Mohamed Diame continues to frustrate many with below par showings this year given what we know he’s capable of performing like.
Having come in for a reported £4.5million from Hull back in 2016, this hasn’t proved to be his season yet and the 31-year-old is becoming a regular topic of talk amongst fans on social media both during and after matches in 2018/19.
Diame out, please…..

Ki has done more in 5 minutes that Diame did all season and got an assist.

With Ki Sung-Yeung having such an impact when he was introduced against Watford, he’s certainly stated his own case for greater game time following his summer arrival.
