Het Laatste Nieuws are reporting that Club Brugge winger Anthony Limbombe is “no longer welcome” to train with the club’s first team players.
The Belgian newspaper says head coach Ivan Leko has asked the 24-year-old not to train with the rest of the team until his future is resolved.
They also believe that we are the frontrunners to sign Limbombe although the deal may not get over the line before the end of the transfer window in eight days times.
The Belgian international played in 39 games in all competitions last season, scoring six goals and providing seven assists. He played exclusively as a left winger during the 2017/18 campaign but has played on the right-hand side, and on occasion as a striker.
It was reported by the Sun last week that both us and Southampton are the favourites to land Limbombe with the player’s asking price said to be approximately £11m.
